i knew the real Afghanistan ..i felt it was like Edan back then before soviet war and till these very days under taliban terror ,not only how it looked but also its cultural heritage.The story contains a bunch of wonderful friendship scenes, very complicated feelings and relationships ,and i never new that running kite is that important or having such strict rules :)

are you really able to smell the ocean fragrance??
i used to smell sea in a very special way, but cant describe it.
its the smell of home, open world, change, hope, mesh 3arfah.

Oh yeaaah Hebba :) i can smell ocean fragrance everywhere and any time don't need a beach to smell it and also hear the waves and may be feel the breeze too actually the sea is a major part of my life (my main study marine science :)

that story is amazing and really worth reading , alil miserable but deeply enjoyable
the author is afghani man who spent his childhood in Afghanistan back in the 70's then migrated with family to the USA till now
the story is about young boy living in afghanistan ,his mom has passed away giving birth of him , and a bunch of very complicated relationships and emotions in side his family mainly affected by the tribal unequalness then wars from soviets till taliban
the young boy immigrates to the USA with his father when he is 18 and never get back until he is 30 something just to discover that he was living in a big lie all those years
away from the strong drama of the young boy story, there is a strongest REAL drama of Afghanistan .. you will know the real afghanistan there not the one we see in news
even if you didn't like my summery you MUST read it (we hasam3lak bel3asaya :P :P)

:))) am talkin about the story :) thousand splendid suns is dealing with FOUR miserable women while the kite runner deals with FOUR kindda miserable men :D yet the misery in case of women is always duplicated
ReplyDeleteP.S. i don't like the stories for the are miserable i hate drama but i loved them for the unique style of the writer, the deep story and for knowing Afghanistan :)
